DefenseReview (DR) recently got to view and sit inside the Polaris Defense DAGOR Ultra-Light Combat Vehicle (ULCV) at NDIA SOFIC 2015 (Special Operations Forces Industry Conference 2015), and we liked what we saw. The DAGOR ULCV is a lightweight, compact air-droppable/transportable fast-attack vehicle that can carry up to nine (9) assaulters/operators at up to 70+ MPH (or a terrain-determined cruising speed that’s a bit less), and that can be armed/weaponized with weapons like the Dillon Aero M134D, M134D-T (Titanium) or M134D-H (Hybrid) Gatling Gun/Mini Gun, or any other crew-served weapons withing the requisite size and weight specs in the turret, according to the vehicle’s mission profile.
Basically, the DAGOR ULCV is a dune-buggy-type mini off-road powerhouse designed specifically for high-speed/low-drag SOF personnel and missions, enabling a SOF unit to air-drop some distance from the target with their vehicle, and infil and exfil said target very quickly in fast-attack mode with a minimal vehicular footprint.
