ZEV Technologies (ZEV Tech) GlockWORX Z19 Enhanced SOCOM and Z19 Trilo Custom Glock 19 (G19) Pistol Packages with Trijicon RMR Mini Red Dot Sight Combat Optic for Military Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Civilian Tactical Shooters!

While DefenseReview (DR) likes a number of pistol brands, we’re primarily Glock guys over here, Specifically Gen-3 Glock guys, since the Gen-3 Glock pistol design is still the simplest, most robust/rugged, and most field-maintainable design that we’ve found, so far, and we still don’t completely trust the Gen-4 Glocks (at least out-of-the-box), no offense. So, we were really happy to see and handle the ZEV Technologies (ZEV Tech) GlockWORX custom/customized Gen-3 Glock pistols at SHOT Show 2016 that all looked very well thought out and well-built, just like the very cool ZEV Tech GlockWorx custom suppressed Z17 Glock 17 (G17) we saw at SHOT Show 2014.

Two guns we particularly like are the ZEV Tech GlockWORX Z19 Enhanced SOCOM and ZEV Tech GlockWORX Trilo 9mm pistols, both with Trijicon RMR (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) mini red dot combat optic built on a Gen-3 Glock 19 (G19) polymer combat/tactical pistol platform. The guns feature a plethora of ZEV Tech enhancements/upgrades, as follows:

ZEV Tech GlockWORX Z19 Enhanced SOCOM RMR Gen-3 Glock 19 Pistol Features:

– ZEV 3rd Gen Z19 Stainless Steel Slide – Enhanced SOCOM w/RMR Optic Cut & Absolute Co-Witness Signature Cut, with Burnt Bronze Coating, Black Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) Coating, or Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Coating.
– ZEV Technologies Barrel Replacement G19, Dimpled Stainless Steel (Uncoated, Burnt Bronze Coating, or Black DLC Coating). According to the website, “ZEV Technologies Match Grade drop-in barrels feature extremely tight tolerances and are manufactured with pre-hardened chromium stainless steel (416R).”
– Proprietary ZEV Tech Adjustable Fulcrum Trigger Kit (Ultimate or Professional), described as follows: “The ZEV Technologies™ Professional Fulcrum® Ultimate Trigger replacement kit for the Glock is the single most important upgrade a user can make to their GLOCK®. The ZEV Fulcrum is the best on the market and currently holds several world records. The Fulcrum Ultimate Kit comes with all the components to replace the entire factory firing assembly.”
– Trijicon RMR Mini Red Dot Combat Optic
– ZEV Stainless Steel Guide Rod, Compact Frame and ZEV Recoil Spring Retaining Washer
– Custom-Stippled and Contoured Glock 19 (G19) polymer frame (gripframe).
– Injection-Molded-Polymer Extended Beavertail as an optional upgrade (at extra cost), which DR prefers. Your humble correspondent uses a high hand hold and has just the right shaped and sized hands that the inside of the right rear thumb knuckle can get tagged.
– Extended threaded barrel (for a silencer/sound suppressor) as an optional upgrade at extra cost.

The Z19 Enhanced SOCOM and Z19 Trilo both look high-end, and Defense Review likes their respective tactical aesthetics and features, even though we’re normally pretty traditionalist in terms of the aesthetics and mods on the actual Glock 19 pistols we own. Nothing wrong with a little flash or pizazz, as long as it’s also functional, which the Zev guns appear to be…highly.

DR likey. Now, let’s see what ZEV can do with a Glock 43 (G43). We bet it’s something good.

Editor’s Note: DR’s would think that ZEV Tech GlockWorx can get the Gen-4 Glock pistols running like the proverbial wind (perhaps by converting them to a single spring and guide rod setup), but if/when we have them build us a gun (or guns, plural), we’d prefer they be built on the Gen-3 Glock pistol platform. Just sayin’.
