Strike Industries (SI) recently released the SI Mega Fins XL modular tactical AR (AR-15) rail system in both KeyMod and M-LOK variants, and will soon be releasing dual-interface-design SI SI LINK Rail Sections, which are MIL-STD-1913 “Picatinny” rail sections that will quickly and easily attach to either a KeyMod or M-Lock rail. The Mega Fins XL, billed as the “ultimate addition to the AR product line”, features a built-in flip-up front sight BUIS (Back Up Iron Sight) and a larger internal-diameter tube (1.51″), so you can run a muzzle can (silencer/sound suppressor) recessed-suppressed, if you’d like, or fit some of the larger muzzle devices out there.
While KeyMod is open-source, DefenseReview (DR) has been told by several of our contacts that M-LOK is stronger, and makes for a stronger forend rail tube, overall. The Strike Industries SI Mega Fins XL Rail wtih KeyMod and SI Mega Fins XL Rail Rail with M-LOK are available in rail lengths of 7″, 10″ 11″, 12″ 15″, 16.25″ and 17″, depending on the end-user’s needs.
Defense Review looks forward to receiving some good hi-res photos of the Strike Industries SI LINK Rail Sections (and actual product samples) when they become available and go into production. The SI LINK Rail Sections dual-interface rail section design certainly looks like a great, utilitarian product on the surface, though. Check out the video on it (second/bottom one), below.
