DefenseReview (DR) first covered the Mission First Tactical MFT BATTLELINK Utility Stock (BUS) tactical AR buttstocks, including the MFT BattleLink Minimalist Stock (BMS), last year, right after SHOT Show 2013. In fact, it was the second new-product article we published after that show, since we really dug the look of not only the stocks, but also the Kryptek combat camo (camouflage) finish on them.
Well, a cool little tactical AR stock just got even cooler with the addition of the MFT BMS NRAT (NEMO Rapid Assault Team) Strap models developed with the help of NEMO Arms. DR got the opportunity to meet and spend some quality time with the boys from NEMO Arms at their booth at SHOT Show 2014, and were impressed with both them and their guns, but we were also impressed by their simple little idea of adding a braided/woven section of paracord to the MFT BMS stock, which essentially completes the triangle, and turning the minimalist stock into an even more comfortable and utilitarian stock that smoothes the stock’s profile, provides another grab point on it, and improves its aesthetic/visuals. We’re really diggin’ this simple little mod.
The MFT BMS NRAT MILSPEC and MFT BMS NRAT Commercial are just a couple of cool little lo-pro/lo-vis (low-profile/low-visibility) minimalist stocks that provide another great choice for military SOF (Special Operations Forces) assaulters/operators, law enforcement SWAT operators, and civilian tactical shooters who need or want something lo-pro/lo-vis. MFT’s company literature states that the paracord strap won’t interfere with the use a QD sling mount, by the way.
Defense Review loves having lots of high-quality tactical AR parts and components choices out there, so we really appreciate the breadth of choices provided by MFT all by itself. MFT currently has three BATTLELINK Stock choices, and they all look good, but DR’s currently leaning towards the MFT BATTLELINK Utility Low Profile Stock (BULS) and MFT BATTLELINK Minimalist Stock NRAT (BMS NRAT). Hopefully, we’ll get some range time with them, soon.
As of this writing, MSRP on both versions (MILSPEC and Commercial NRAT) is $84.99.
