Speaking of 30-round AR mags, and the Lancer Systems L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine (AWM), specfically, DefenseReview (DR) actually spied another (Gen-2?) Lancer L5 Translucent AWM at NDIA Joint Armaments Conference 2012 that was truly translucent, and much lighter in color than the original version. And, we just saw the sam new mag at SHOT Show 2013.

As we wrote in our previous article, the Lancer Systems Translucent Advanced Warfighter Magazine (AWM) (“Gen-1”) polymer 5.56mm NATO/.223 Rem. AR-15 mag (4179 Stanag) is currently our favorite 30-rounder. Here are the photos of the “Gen-2” translucent Lancer AWM from both shows:
