The video clips below feature full 90-round mag dumps with a Ferfrans Specialties gas piston/op-rod SOAR (Special Operations Assault Rifle) SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) and carbine, respectively, outfitted with MWG 90-Rounder snail drum magazines. Notice relatively low cyclic rate of fire (ROF) and lack of any muzzle rise. The guns stay right on target the whole time.

All select-fire FERFRANS weapons feature a relatively low cyclic ROF (sub-700 rpm) during full-auto fire and significantly enhanced full-auto controllability, courtesy of the patented FERFRANS Rate Reduction System (RRS), which is a mechanical rate reducer and recoil attenuation/mitigation device exclusive to FERFRANS Specialties weapons, at present.

FERFRANS SOAR AR SBRs and carbines are DefenseReview’s favorite select-fire AR weapons, since they’re so controllable on full-auto, reliable, and REALLY fun to shoot. Basically, they rock. Plus, FERFRANS’ owner, Ferdie Sy, is a truly great individual, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. This is why we write about Ferfrans products so much. Defense Review highly recommends FERFRANS Specialties products to anyone looking for a workhorse select-fire AR SBR for military Special Operations, law enforcement (LE) SWAT, or PSD (Personal Security Detail) applications.

You just can’t go wrong with them.
