DefenseReview (DR) got to do a few fun things during SOFIC 2015 (Special Operations Forces Industry Conference 2015), including attending a few yacht parties hosted by companies at the conference. One of these occurred on board a beautiful boat called “Algorythm” docked right outside Jackson’s Bistro Bar & Sushi Waterfront Restaurant, Tampa, right across the channel from downtown Tampa. As soon as we took our shoes off (to protect the nice teak deck) and boarded, a contact of ours led us down to the stern of the boat to meet one Thomas McCrimmon of Global Military Solutions (GMS), who proceeded to show us the most interesting and well-designed heavy machine gun/cannon mount we’ve ever seen, called the GMS M21 Universal Heavy Mount (UHM). It’s got virtually everything one can think of to make using a heavy machine gun or cannon as easy and pleasurable to shoot and reload as possible.

Defense Review will leave it to the video to educate the reader on all its many useful features, but get ready to be impressed (and enjoy the scenery), since these guys thought of (seemingly) everything a machine gunner could want.
