Diamondhead USA recently introduced the new Diamondhead Polymer Diamond Flip-Up Front and Rear AR Sights with NiteBrite at SHOT Show 2014, and the new polymer BUIS (Back-Up Iron Sights) looked pretty good. They were displayed on a Diamondhead V-RS T/TD Versa-Rail free-float rail system/forend rail tube/tactical handguard, which DefenseReview (DR) covered after SHOT Show 2012, as well as a more conventional-looking rail you can see in the embedded video below.

The new Diamond polymer flip-up sights are spring-loaded and feature steel apertures, steel screws, and steel detents for maximum strength and durability. The front sight adjustment is toolless. You just rotate a little nob with your thumb for elevation.

The new polymer sights can be purchased separately, a la carte, or together as a pair.

DR likes the new sights, but our favorite Diamonhead sights at the moment are still the very cool Diamondhead D-45 (Swing Sights) Integrated Sighting System which we first covered in early September 2012, and then again much more recently in our piece on the Adams Arms C.O.R. (Competition Optic Ready) Ultra Lite 16.5″ tactical 3-Gun piston AR carbine. They really complemented the rifle, and are great for both 3-Gun AND combat shooting.

But why not have both? Anyway, the new Diamondhead Polymer Diamond Flip-Up Front and Rear AR Sights with NiteBrite photoluminescent inserts currently retail for approximately $118.00 USD a pair (front and rear sights).
