As long as we’re discussing the latest and greatest Core Survival Hel-Star multi-function LED light beacons, we should also mention the new Core Survival Hel-Star XO K9 (Canine) military-grade multi-function dog light beacon, which is pretty nifty.

“A lot of the K9 guys are runnin’ this. It fits right on vest, it’s pretty sleek, allows you to mark the dog. Now, you can see where he’s goin’, where’ he’s movin’, and we make a specific K9 model that gives a solid LED’s through here [pointing, see DR video below], and then gives you one [LED light diode] flashing,” Core Survival rep Jamey Caldwell told DefenseReview (DR). The Core Survival Hel-Star XO K9 multi-function dog light beacon is particularly useful during nighttime ops.

Defense Review will try to find out if Core Survival is developing a SWIR variant of the Hel-Star XO K9 for military Special Operations Forces (SOF) missions. In the meantime, enjoy the accompanying photos and video we shot.
