A company called Bad Company Tactical (BCT), run by one Toby Melville, has a very interesting tactical retention/holster system called the Rapid Retention System (R2S) for tactical SBR/Sub-Carbine-type personal defense weapons (PDW) and pistols that DefenseReview.com (DR) first saw at SHOT Show 2012 while we were at the Hard Point Equipment booth.
The R2S essentially allows the operator to instantly attach (and detach) an SBR or pistol to his belt via an aluminum fast-attach system, enabling him to immediately stow his weapon and go hands-free. On the belt side the R2S receiving “holster” is an aluminum base plate integrated with a kydex holster-type base.
The embedded video clip below explains the system and is worth watching. For some reason, we never published it, so we're remedying that now.
Also shown in the video are the Bravo 18 circular knob-type Kalashnikov AK/AKM charging handle and titanium muzzle brake/flash hider/compliance device. BCT carries a lot of tactical AK/AKM carbine/SBR accessories, some of which are made by Bravo 18 and Alamo Tactical.
Editor's Note: We plan on publishing two or three more video clips on BCT products and Bravo 18 tactical accessories soon.
