POF-USA’s Latest Videos on the POF P308/P308-FA and P415/P416 Tactical AR Carbine/SBR’s Explain “The Why”

POF-USA’s (Patriot Ordnance Factory USA) been on a bit of a video roll as of late. Titled “POF-USA: Let Freedom Ring!” and “POF-USA Presents: The Why” respectively, they explain POF’s CEO Frank DeSomma’s main driving force behind the POF-USA brand and its products, specifically the POF P308/P308-FA (Full Auto) and POF P415/P416 semi-auto and select-fire tactical AR carbines. In both videos, Frank DeSomma personally talks to the camera. In the “Let Freedom Ring!” video, DeSomma fires a P308-FA at a berm on semi-auto and full-auto, and talks about how POF guns are designed to protect the owner (and America) from tyranny. It’s basically an “America, F*ck Yeah!” video with some good full-auto fire for effect.

In “The Why” video, which is much longer, DeSomma takes the viewer through what makes POF guns unique and special, including, but not limited to, 1) the POF FAL-type short-stroke gas piston/op-rod’s (push-type operating rod) simplicity and ruggedness, 2) the heat-dissipating aspect of the aluminum heat-sink barrel nut, 3) the POF bolt carrier group (BCG), which incorporates an integral gas key/anvil, 4) the tactile adjustable gas system, 5) the piston system’s easy, toolless out-the-front maintenance and cleaning aspect, 6) the M-LOK-compatible rail system, 7) the Gen-4 lower-receiver’s ambidextrous controls, 8) the ambidextrous charging handle, 9) drop-in EFP (Enhanced Finger Placement) trigger, and 10) the 4-channel, push/pull POF E2 Extraction (E-Squared Extraction) Chamber.

DefenseReview (DR) spoke to DeSomma by phone today, he told us the following: “I want to build the ultimate fighting machine. Why? Because when the sh*t hits the fan, that’s my go-to gun for the fight against tyranny. I’m not doing it for the money. Money is just a byproduct.” He then told us the qualities that all POF guns must have: “They need to be tough. They need to be accurate. They need to be modular. They need to be durable. They need to be true.” He then asked us, “Are you building it to make money, or are you building it to be the best of the best the best it can possibly be?”
