DefenseReview (DR) writer/contributor Jeff Gurwitch has been talking about his desire for a two-shot/double-tap trigger for quite some time, now, so we were pleasantly surprised to come accross Checkmate Guns Liberator Pistol AR15 10.5″ tactical AR-15 SBR (Short Barreled Rifle)/PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) with a proprietary and patented double-tap trigger system, which fires once on the trigger pull, and again on the trigger release. This allows pretty much any shooter to fire at a cyclic rate of fire (ROF) approaching a full-auto cyclic ROF. So, we can’t wait to get the trigger system, itself, to Gurwitch for a little test run at the range.
The best part is that the Liberator Pistol AR15’s apparently non-NFA and “100% ATF civilian-legal right out of the box”, according to Checkmate Guns. AND, it even comes with a SIG Sauer SIGTAC SB-15 stabilizing brace, a very interesting product in itself, and one that DR has already covered in a previous article.
Anyway, check out the video below:
