The M60 GPMG Returns…Smaller, Lighter, Meaner. Meet the New M60E4/Mk43.

U.S. Ordnance, out of Reno Nevada, is now manufacturing and distributing(under license from Saco Defense) an updated compact version of the now classic M60 GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun). Called the M60E4/M43 Mod. 0, the new compact 7.62x51mm machine gun, according to the company, "represents… significant reliability and user-friendly improvements over the M60, M60D, M60E3 machine guns."

Combat training and Armorer’s training are both being handled by Special Tactical Services, LLC, located in Virginia Beach, VA. Anyone interested in either purchasing or learning how to handle and shoot the M60E4/M43 Mod 0 would be advised to contact either Dale McClellan or Steve Renz at STS.

Right now, DefRev is just giving our readers a heads-up on this new offering, and providing you with the all the relevant links to learn more about it. In a subsequent article, we’ll be going more in depth, obtain some good color pics, and try to interview both Mr. McClellan and Mr. Renz about both the M60E4/M43 Mod.0 and the unique training Special Tactical Services (STS) is providing on the weapon.

U.S. Ordnance is also offering a version of the M60E4/M43 Mod.0 in 5.56x45mm for the LMG/SAW role.
