"Screaming .357G" has created a thread and provided a range report and pics on the Springfield Armory XD-9 pistol at Glocktalk.com. It’s worth taking a look at. DefRev hasn’t tested the XD-9 pistol yet.

The XD-9 pistol is shown outfitted with an M3 tactical white light/illuminator made by Insight Technology in several of the pics. For a home defense gun DefRev always recommends…

a gun-mounted tactical white light if one can afford one. The white light can give the user a significant fighting edge if that user is trained in its use.

Surefire also makes excellent weaponlights for handguns.
