DefenseReview (DR) has gotten very interested in long-range precision rifle shooting over the last few years. So, we were very happy to see that TNVC (Tactical Night Vision Company) is marketing two very interesting ultra-lightweaight, high-performance long-range precision rifle shooting tripods through their https://www.nightgoggles.com/ target=right>Night Goggles division called the Night Stalker and Night Stalker Pro, respectively, which also incorporate a Shadow Tech Pig Saddle and an articulating ball mount.
“They’re incredibly capable, but you’re not gonna’ break the bank,” says TNVC’s Sam Houston. They’re both made from carbon fiber, but the Night Stalker Pro is a bit more heavy duty, and comes with a shoulder strap that appears to be made from Cordura. Fully folded, the Night Stalker and Night Stalker Pro tactical rifle shooting tripods are 18″ tall and approximately 6 lbs, so they’re lightweight, compact and easy to transport, while being capable of holding up to 33 lbs of weight. Both tripods come with hooks to attach weighted bags to weight the system down as necessary.
Different rifle mounts are available with the system, including the aforementioned Pig Saddle, Kopfager Reaper Shooting Platform, or a direct mount for a MIL-STD-1913 “Picatinny” rail system, Keymod, or M-LOK system. Fully outfitted with the Kopfager mount, the Night Stalker Pro system will come in at 7 lbs, but will support 66 lbs of weight.
Defense Review really likes these two tripods.
