The HK MG 43 LMG/SAW is a 5.56mm LMG designed to go head to head with the FN Minimi/M249, IMI Negev, and Vektor Mini SS LMG’s. Initial word on the MG43 is good. Dan Shea’s written a preliminary piece, along with photos of dissasembled parts of the gun, in the June 2002 issue of SAR(Small Arms Review).
HK is currently introducing the MG 43 LMG/SAW at the NDIA 2002 International Infantry & Joint Services Small Arms Systems Section Symposium, Exhibition, & Firing Demonstration, " 21st Century Military Operations and Technology" currently being held at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel and the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey from May 13th to May 15.
We’ll keep you posted as things develop. Oh, if you’d like to see a great MG43 pic on HKPro.com, click here.
