In DefenseReview’s (DR) reporting on the intriguing LALO Tactical sneaks (sneakers), we somehow (almost) forgot about this very interesting product, the LALO Tactical BUD/S Hydro Recon Water Bootie combat/tactical swim boots. Per the purveyor, the Hydro Recon Water Bootie sports a 1.5mm (milimeter) neoprene upper and fully-drainable perforated “bottom unit”, i.e., insole and outsole. So, “as fast as water comes through the top, it drains out the bottom,” LALO Tactical CEO Jay Taylor told DR.

There’s more: “The reason why we built this bootie was to be able to get in and out of the water, and on target and off target as quickly as possible. So, it gives you insulation when you’re in the water, it keeps your feet warm, but it allows you to get out of the water, get across the beach, and get back in the water as quick as you can,” says Taylor.

Colorways are Jungle Green and Black Ops (black, available this Fall), and current pricing is $140.00 USD. That’s pretty good, especially for such a high-quality, high-tech product designed specifically for military-combat scenarios.

The following information on the LALO Tactical BUD/S Hydro Recon Water Bootie comes directly from the company’s website:

Defense Review digs these.
