Alright, first report from the show–we’ll start easy. Caspian has some new components, and Wilson Combat is the beneficiary of one of these items. This, of course, relates to Caspian’s new 1911 single-stack Recon frame with tactical light-mounting rail. So, for Wilson Combat customers that want a 1911 with integral light-mounting rail, things are looking pretty good. Caspian is also making a version of this frame in titanium, so things are looking even better. As if this isn’t enough, Caspian has also introduced a new slide with external extractor. While I don’t really see the necessity, much less the superiority, of an external extractor on a 1911, it still offers another option for the consumer.
Click here to visit Caspian’s page with the price for their titanium single-stack frame. Caspian does not as yet have a page on their new external extractor slides. To visit Wilson’s CQB w/tactical light rail page, click on this link. I have to say, the Wilson guns are looking good, particularly their CQB w/tactical light rail and Tactical Super Grade.
