The latest issue of SureFire's "Combat Tactics" Magazine (Fall 2011, Volume 9, Number Two) should be arriving on the shelves at your local Barnes & Noble book store very shortly if it isn't already there, so go check it out. You're humble correspondent has a few articles in there.
It's a Colt firearms-focused issue, with info on Colt's history, a visit to Colt's manufacturing plant, the Colt SCW (Sub-Compact Weapon) select-fire PDW-type (Personal Defense Weapon-type) tactical AR SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle)/sub-carbine, Colt M4/M4A1 Carbine (SOPMOD), LColt CM901/SP901 7.62mm NATO/5.56mm NATO modular multi-calibler rifle/carbine/SBR, Colt IAR (Infantry Automatic Rifle), Colt 1911 pistols, etc. However, the issue also includes articles on the FN Mk48 MOD 1 7.62x51mm NATO (7.62mm NATO) MMG/GPMG (Medium Machine Gun/General Purpose Machine Gun), Blackheart International BHI-15(S) tactical AR (AR-15) carbine with Geissele SSA Trigger and Magpul CTR Stock, Steyr SSG 08 sniper rifle, the Bushmaster ACR (Adaptive Combat Rifle), Reaper Camo (Camouflage), and more. While I may be a bit biased (since I'm one of the writers), it's still a great issue, so go grab one, and enjoy.
Oh, and for quick visual reference, the Fall 2011 issue's cover has a photo of an U.S. military Spec-Operator/assaulter-looking gentleman wearing an Ops-Core FAST Ballistic Helmet and holding a Colt SCW (Sub-Compact Weapon). I wrote the article on weapon/cover gun. I've actually got three articles in the issue: "Looking for a Ghost in a Haystack", "Vital & Virtuous: Colt's M4", and the cover gun article "Sub-Compact Innovation" on the aforementioned Colt SCW.
