Knight’s Armament Develops Prototype 7.62x39mm SR-15 Carbine.

I got to handle the hell out of this one at Knight’s booth at Shot Show, and it is trick to the extreme. I only wish I could have put it through the ringer at the range. It’s a KAC SR-15 M4 that’s been modified for 7.62x39mm. The new gun incorporates a longer than normal receiver and takes AK mags. Magazines are rocked into place, just like on the AK. The new carbine was developed at the request of an as yet unnamed Special Operations branch of our Armed Forces. DefRev will try to get some photos.

Click here to visit Knight’s Armament’s site. Just don’t expect to see anything on the prototype there.
