DefenseReview (DR) has written about Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) products, and test-fired some of them, like the Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle/carbine/SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) and Negev LMG/SAW (Light Machine Gun/Squad Automatic Weapon), in the past. However, to our knowledge, we've never run any of the Jericho 941-series polymer-framed pistols (9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP) at the range. However, we hope to change that dynamic, soon. Anyway, an IWI rep just sent us a Jericho pistol data sheet and promotional video that we thought we'd share with our readers.

Defense Review likes having as many combat/tactical pistol options out there as possible, and the Jericho 941 pistol, based on the CZ-75 pistol, looks pretty good in photos and on video. Like the CZ-75, the Jericho's slide runs inside the frame rails and the pistol features a frame-mounted sweep-down manual thumb safety/decocker, so it would appear that you can carry the Jericho cocked and locked in Condition 1 AND decock it (unconfirmed/unverified), which DR likes. It should be notified that the Jericho has been significantly modernized ergonomically and appearance-wise over the CZ-75, and sports a trapezoidal slide.

The rear sight is a Novak-style slanted/sloped sight and both the front and rear sights feature Tritium dots (3-dot setup) and are dovetailed into the frame. Apparently, IWI is offering an extended threaded barrel for use with a suppressor (silencer/sound suppressor).

The Jericho 941 pistols of course integrate the now-standard Mil-Std-1913 "Picatinny" rail on the dust cover (underside of the forward portion of the frame).

The following information was pulled directly from the IWI Jericho pistol data sheet:
