Beretta Billenium Pistol on the Way.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

For all those Beretta fans out there, Beretta will be releasing their Billenium limited edition very soon. Limited to no more than 2,000 units worldwide, the pistol will be a single action 9mm(w/sweep-down frame-mounted safety) and of all steel construction, with a skeletonized hammer and checkered front and back strap. It will also feature a nickel alloy surface, carbon fiber grips, micro-adjustable rear sight and interchangeable front sight, and a special engraving job(looks like digital graphics) and scale-like retracting grooves on the rear of the slide.

Because the Billenium is all steel, it will come in pretty heavy at over 40 oz. empty. This makes it heavier than a 1911 government model(unloaded, of course), so it’s obviously not intended as a carry gun(at least not CCW). The gun will appeal primarily to Beretta collectors, although there’s really no reason why one could not use it as a home defense gun, or to compete in competition.

Interestingly, Beretta has an entire website devoted solely to the Billenium project. Click on this link to take a look.
