The great U.S. Army General Norman Schwarzkopf died today in Tampa, Florida at 78 years old. Gen. Schwarzkopf, often referred to as “Stormin’ Norman”, was best known for his superlative combat leadership in Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War in 1991.

Gen. Schwarzkopf was an American hero, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his surviving family and friends.

Rest in peace, sir.
