Robinson Armament Co. competed recently in the SCAR (a.k.a. SOFCAR) competition for USSOCOM. Basically, SCAR/SOFCAR was a competition to produce an adaptable/modular multi-caliber weapon system for SOCOM (Special Operations Use). The goal was to achieve a weapon system that you can quickly configure to an operator’s mission-specific needs, including caliber (6.8x43mm SPC, 7.62x39mm, 5.56x45mm, etc.).

"Coincidentally", Robinson Armament has just released a pic of their new XCR Modular Weapon System. DefenseReview hasn’t talked with Alex Robinson yet about the XCKR, but we’re assuming, for the moment, that it’s multi-caliber. We’ll find out as soon as we can.

DefRev will attempt to get as much info as possible on the Robinson Armament XCR Modular Weapon System, as soon as we can.

In the meantime, you can contact Robinson Armament Co. at 801-355-0401, Ext. 1 Sales, Ext. 3 All Others. Ask for Alex Robinson.
