Alexander Arms’ new gun/upper receiver assembly and proprietary 6.5mm .26 Grendel round are so new, DefRev simply doesn’t yet have much information on it, other than the fact that the weapon is AR-15/M16-based. We’re assuming, for the moment, that AR-15 owners can just drop a .26 Grendel upper receiver assembly right onto their standard AR-15/M16 or M4/M4A1 carbine lower, and go right to work.

The 6.5mm .26 Grendel round has an effective range of 1000-1400 yards, according the video we have from AFJ (Armed Forces Journal). No word yet on whether or not Alexander Arms will be…

manufacturing a complete select-fire version of the 6.5mm .26 Grendel.

Here is a link to the excellent and informative AFJ video that we’ve placed on DefRev’s server. We’ve done this so our members and readers can download the video more quickly and easily.

The video is 6 megabytes and right click to save to your harddrive.

The .26 Grendel™ is currently in development

We hope you enjoy the video.
