If you have a Mossberg or Remington pump gun lying around somewhere, you might want to try to get your hands on a Knoxx Industries Sidewinder Conversion Kit/(snail) drum magazine.
The Knoxx Industries Sidewinder™
10-round drum magazine system changes the game real quick when it comes to firepower out of a pump action shotgun. Once you install the Sidewinder conversion unit, which replaces the standard tube magazine, your favorite scattergun is magically transformed into a magazine-fed weapon.
This gives an operator several advantages:
1) The weapon can be as short as you want to make it, and you don’t lose any capacity.
2) More rounds at your immediate disposal
3) Faster reloading(although an skilled individual can continually top off a standard shotgun fairly efficiently during the course of a fight).
Knoxx also makes a 6 round box magazine, and is currently developing a "gunsmith installable" version of the Sidewinder for the popular Remington 870 shotgun. They anticipate that the new kit will be available sometime near the end of the year.
The Sidewinder is definitely one of the most exciting shotgun accessories
