We here at DefenseReview (DR) just want to wish our readers and members a very Safe and Happy July 4th weekend as we all celebrate Independence Day, and appreciate the Declaration of Independence that Thomas Jefferson wrote for all of us, and that our Founding Fathers all signed, thereby risking their lives and treasure for all of us.
Let’s also appreciate both the Revolutionary War they fought for us, AND the War of 1812, which they also fought when the British CAME BACK and set the White House on fire. Our early-American ancestors actually had to fight TWO wars for us. Everyone remembers the first one, but a lot of people seem to forget (or just plain not know about) the second one that was required to REMAIN independent from the British Crown.
Anyway, enjoy the barbeque (or is it “barbecue”?), and DON’T drink and drive. Stay safe out there, and keep everyone else safe along with you.
