Condor’s (Condor Outdoor Products and Condor Elite) really been killing it lately with their urban combat/tactical clothing, and DefenseReview (DR) is really impressed with the latest stuff we saw, specifically the Condor Odyssey Tactical Flex Pants (Gen II), Condor Cipher Jeans, and Tac-Pro Shirt. All three items look really well-designed and well-made. The video we shot (see below) shows all the important features of the clothes, including pockets, materials, and flex capability. DR would like to thank Chris Dunn of Covered 6 and Condor Elite (combat/tactical gear) for taking us through them at SHOT Show 2019.
Let’s start with the Condor Odyssey Flex Pants, which are really nicely design urban combat/tactical pants. The ones DR saw were urban grey. The lightweight 4-way-stretch moisture-wicking nylon material, gusseted crotch, and articulated knee provide maximum comfort and mobility, and all the pockets on it maximize the pants’ utility, particularly for travellers and shooters, since you can stick pistol and AR (AR-15) rifle mags in them. The pants also feature an elastic waistband, and even a coin pocket.
The Condor Cipher Jeans are essentially combat/tactical flex/stretch denim jeans, with pockets for your cellphone and mags (magazines), including both pistol and AR rifle mags. The Cipher Jeans’ material is 13-ounce stretch denim. Combined with the gusseted crotch, the jeans are very comfortable, and allow for “enhanced maneuverability”. The Cipher Jeans are even more lo-pro/lo-vis than the Condor Odyssey Flex Pants, so they’re ideal for covert missions, or just keeping a low profile when you’re out and about. They look good, too.
Finally, DR got to peruse the Condor Tac-Pro Shirt, which is essentially a lightweight, stretchy combat/tacitcal shirt with lots of great features, like velcro chest pockets, mesh-lined pockets for extra ventilation, a “hidden chest pocket with zipper closure”, and underarm vents with mesh fabric. Pretty cool.
Defense Review would love to test drive all three items, starting with the Cipher Jeans, which we think are really slick. Nothing beats an actual hands-on review.
