Adams Arms (AA) Files Lawsuit Against Sig Sauer for Patent Infringement in Federal Court

PALM HARBOR, FL – July 7, 2011 – Adams Arms, Inc., the industry leader in piston technology, announced today that upon issuance of its third patent it has filed a lawsuit in Federal Court against Sig Sauer for patent infringement.

Michael K Froning, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Adams Arms (AA), stated: “We are pleased that our third patent was issued this week by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, further strengthening an already formidable patent portfolio. We have worked very hard to develop our technology and invested heavily in our patent coverage to protect both our company and our industry partners with which we have license agreements.”

Adams Arms manufactures piston rifles, piston uppers, retrofit systems and related parts for black rifles in multiple calibers, lengths, and configurations for sale under the Adams Arms brand name. Adams Arms also has OEM agreements with several industry leaders allowing them to utilize this proprietary technology on their products.

Adams Arms has submitted patent applications covering over thirty (30) countries to support its international distribution strategy.
